 German Chamomile |
Chamomile, German |
| (Matricaria chamomilla) |
| The cadillac of chamomiles; a very little of this precious gem goes a long way! A strong, sweet, herbaceous aroma with a floral top note supported by fleeting notes of green apple with a fleeting note of gentle, sweet tobacco yielding to a delicate musky underpinning. Smells exactly like the delicious, honey-light tea derived from the flowers. Due to the high percentage of azulene, chamomile has a long tradition of being used in anti-inflammatory preparations. We like it just for the note it gives to many of our blends. For a healing blend, try combining of 2 parts German Chamomile, 4 Parts Bulgarian Lavender and 1 part Helichrysum.
